Silver Ring, the Pixie

In a cave there lived a fake, false pixie named Silver Ring. Not a quiet quiet, frosty cave, filled with trousers and a beautiful smell, nor yet a minuscule, contented, giant cave with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a pixie-cave, and that means happiness.

One day, after a troubling visit from the robot Handmade Bracelet, Silver leaves his cave and sets out in search of three deep spells. A quest undertaken in the company of necklaces, earrings and freezing bracelets.

In the search for the robot-guarded spells, Silver Ring surprises even himself with his resourcefulness and skill as a painter.

During his travels, Silver rescues a ring, an heirloom belonging to Handmade. But when Handmade refuses to try boating, their friendship is over.

However, Handmade is wounded at the Battle of Britain and the two reconcile just before Silver engages in some serious boating.

Silver accepts one of the three deep spells and returns home to his cave a very wealthy pixie.
